Leader Lee Man-hee of Shincheonji made an official appearance a day after he was sentenced to probation and began an internal crackdown on Shincheonji.

According to the data obtained by CBS No Cut News, Principal Lee Man-hee attended a service to commemorate the Passover, one of the major events in Sincheonji, on the 14th.

Leader Lee Man-hee, who applied for bail saying it was difficult to live in a detention center due to his old age, showed off his robustness to believers by dyeing his hair black and giving lectures standing for nearly an hour.

He was nowhere to be seen in a wheelchair with white hair throughout the trial.

Even until the day of the sentencing trial, the court showed consideration to the Lee, saying, "If you feel uncomfortable, sit in a wheelchair and listen to the ruling order." In this regard, it is criticized that the leader made fun of the court.

The host introduced Leader Lee Man-hee, saying, "There was something that all the 12 tribes of Shincheonji desperately wished for, and it was to hear the words again through the voice of the chairman of the promised pastor."

Lee Man-hee, the leader of Shincheonji, who had been in a wheelchair throughout the trial period, attended the Shincheonji event the day after the suspended sentence and was seen walking around.

In an hour-long lecture, Lee Man-hee also mentioned his life in a detention center during the lecture.

(When I entered the detention center I thought) "That's right and good," Leader Lee Man-hee told the congregation. I didn't have time, so I couldn't do everything, but I really thank God for giving me the time to do what I wanted to do."

(In the detention center) "If someone asks, I'm a person who writes books, so I said that my books are going out in the world," the leader said. "So everyone there thought it was very good, so everyone there greeted me with a 90 degree bow."

He also said, "The inmates were good at their jobs," and "I wanted to make them work in Shincheonji."

This is in contrast to earlier appeals to the court for bail, saying, "I think it would be easier to die," during the trial.

The leader, who was on trial for arrest, told the court at the time, "I'm concerned that my life can last until the trial is over," adding, "I want to avoid pain even if I make an extreme choice."

Regarding the conviction of Lee's alleged embezzlement of some 5.7 billion won, Shincheonji made an announcement to the congregation, saying, "The chairman had no intention of acquiring a person," and "The court's unreasonable judgment."

Meanwhile, controversy continues over the acquittal of Lee's infectious disease prevention law.

The Suwon District Court acknowledged that Shincheonji omitted some information at the instruction of its leader Lee Man-hee, but acquitted him, saying, "The quarantine authorities' request for a list of believers and the status of the facilities does not constitute an epidemiological investigation."

Some critics say that the trial has set a bad precedent for groups that interfere with quarantine activities, such as the Sarang First Church and the Intercom BTJ Thermal Center.

Although a punishment regulation for refusing to submit data was made in September last year, analysts say that there could be a setback in epidemiological investigations that require speed.

While attention is being paid to the outcome of the criminal trial of executives of Shincheonji in Daegu, their sentencing trial was originally postponed to the 27th, although it was the 15th.
