The court granted bail to Choi Myung-seok (52), the leader in charge of the Daegu Church of the Sinchonji Jesus Church, and the planning director (39). They were arrested and indicted on charges of deliberately excluding some of the church's list to quarantine authorities (violation of the Infectious Disease Prevention and Prevention Act and obstruction of official execution by hierarchy) during the Corona 19 epidemiological investigation.

The 11th Criminal Department of the Daegu District Court (Senior Judge Kim Sang-yoon) cited their bail application on the 1st, saying, "We considered the impending expiration of the arrest period (January 12, 2021)."

Choi and others were put on trial on charges of conspiring to delete the list of church members who were reluctant to expose themselves to the outside out of the total 9,785 church members requested by the Daegu Metropolitan Government on Feb. 18 after the confirmed patient No. 31 of the church in Shincheonji was found on Feb. 18, and submitting a list of church members excluding 133 adults.

The prosecution asked the court to sentence leader Choi Myung-seok to three years in prison and the head of the planning department to two years in prison at a decision-making hearing held on Nov. 30. In addition, the prosecution asked to sentence to the head of the liaison department (51), the head of the planning team (25) and the secretary (37, female) to one and a half years in prison, and the leader of the youth committee (33), the women's association (56, female), and the leader of the adult committee (56), respectively, to one year in prison. The sentencing hearing will be held at 10 a.m. on Jan. 15 next year.
