Lee Man-hee of Shincheonji responds with mammoth law firm (about 20 lawyers).

Those on trial together, "The believers either have no lawyers or cancelled their public defenders"

On the 17th, the second pre-trial session for the chairman of Shincheonji, Lee Man-hee, the tribe leaders and the heads of the general assembly, was held at the Suwon District Court. They were arrested on charges of obstructing the government's new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) preventive measures and embezzlement.
At the news of the public trial, Shincheonji believers were camped out in the front yard of the court since early morning . Due to the preventive measures, only a few of them were allowed in because they could only sit on designated seats.
At the hearing of the case, which was held at the Criminal Chamber 11 (Senior Judge Kim Mi-kyung), Lee Man-hee, chairman of the General Assembly, reportedly submitted a written opinion through his lawyers that he would "totally deny" the charges.
A new group of lawyers was appointed to defend Lee Man-hee, and large law firms, including the Pacific Ocean, which defended the chairman of Samsung Lee Jae-yong, also submitted their applications offering legal representation. A total of 20 mammoth lawyers were brought together.
Some of the Sincheonji executives who are on trial together, however, responded without a lawyer. Some of them applied for a public defender, but then the application was canceled.
The response is in great contrast with the one of Chairman Lee Man-hee.
It seems like Shincheonji is trying to save the body (Lee Man-hee) by cutting off the tail (the other executives).
