What is CESNUR and what is their position on SCJ
Hello everyone, I hope you and your loved ones are all safe and sound. I recently had an exchange of views with CESNUR about their White Paper on SCJ and Covid. In their opinion SCJ is a new religion devoted to the spreading of peace on the earth, persecuted by the overly conservative korean church. As I found this point of view rather biased, I asked why they failed to mention the manipulation and control and all the social issues like divorces and runaways related to SCJ. I got to now they believe brainwashing and mind manipulation to be a myth created in order to oppress religious minorities. They also believe into the non existence of cult victims and that the opinion of ex-members is too partial to be taken into consideration. They claim 90% of scholars share this vision. This last claim seems to be not quite true. In fact, they have been harshly criticized in the academic community and there are plenty of scholars that study the cults tactics of mind control. By the way, even if one knows nothing about SCJ or cults, just by reading to this White Paper can see there are plenty of cognitive biases and fallacies and that this work is ideological, not factual.
