The efforts of Shincheonji to expand its organization risking a Corona19 mass infection are being revealed one by one.
Ex SCJ members testified that believers who did not perform well in missionary work were punished in the middle of the night, and were made to lie in a pit with their eyes closed to deify their leader.
In the summer of 2011, A, who left Shincheonji, received the Army of Light Training with about 30 other believers.
At the time, some 30 believers in their early 20s and under 60s participated in the Army of Light Training, and there was also one teenager.
A said: "It's been almost 10 years since I left Shincheonji, but I still can't forget the horrible experience in which trainees are suspended to trees in the middle of the night on and released after a certain period of time "The horrible experience was usually being hung on a tree.
The people in The Apgujeong Center said they really dug holes, but we didn't go that far, they covered our eyes and tied us to the trees."
He is the pastor that came out of Sincheonji after exposing the corruption of the Gwangju Pedro tribe.
After joining Sincheonji in 1991, he was a member since the early stage of SCJ and for about 20 years.
Naturally, pastor Yoo enlisted in the Army of Light Training.
The pastor, who currently provides heresy prevention education at the Sincheonji Counseling Center, revealed the true nature of the Army of Light Trainining in the location prepared by the Sincheonji Countermeasures National Coalition on the 16th.
Reverend Yoo participated in the 24th Army of Light training for three days starting on July the 1st 2011, exposing the corruption of Shincheonji, and had a terrible experience that was tantamount to human rights abuses.
They were paired-up and while they squat walked from the Apgujeong Center to the Han riverside with their wrists tied up they received any kind of punishement.
The more shocking truth is that they had to dig a hole 1 mt deep and then soil was scattered on them to enhance their fear.
The pastor (Shincheonji Counseling Center, Shin Dae-yeon, Honam Branch) said, "There were shovels and pits, and we were told to lie down and so we did".
He continues, "while we were lying down, we asked for forgiveness" but when we opened our mouth, the soil came into our mouths and there were people who ate it."
"After this training, one would shed tears just by listening to Lee Man-hee," Pastor Yoo added.
Why did Shincheonji carry out this Army of Light training?
Pastor Yoo says it was planned at the Apgujeong Center to reinforce the deification of Lee Man-hee and the succession of Kim Nam-hee and had been expanded nationwide for the spiritual education of the special evangelists.
As a verification result, the Shinchonji headquarters sent an official letter to the 12 tribes in July 2011 saying that "Apgujeong Special Army of Light Training - Meeting Light and the Victory ofLight " would be held.
Sincheonji also ordered active participation, saying, "After that, special trainings will be held for each branch."
The pastor filed a complaint with the prosecutor against the violence of the Army of Light Training but he received a non-prosecution notification.
However, he made it public.
The prosecution acknowledged the existence of the military training at the time, but it was confirmed the non-prosecution was confirmed on the grounds that it was difficult to find any connection with the defendants, including Lee Man-hee.
In the non-prosecution decision is written, "referring to the material presented by the instructors(being tied to a tree, being blindfolded), it is true that there was lying down in a pit and spraying dirt, as the accuser claims", but it continues, "The complainant does not appear to have been involuntarily involved."
The pastor complained about the prosecution's investigation, saying, "The prosecution's investigation was like a drop in the ocean.
It seemed like they jumped to the conclusions before even investigating" Pastor Yoo is reviewing the allegations of violence in the Army of Light Training against Shincheonji.
Meanwhile, the Shincheonji military drill was reportedly suspended in 2012 due to an unexpected accident during a training.
